Toronto Candlelight Series

Some wonderful jazz concerts are being held at two magnificent locations in Toronto as part of the Candlelight series. These concerts offer a unique musical experience lit by the glow of candles allowing for one to be immersed in the performance and relax in the surroundings. The mission of Candlelight Concerts is to provide a venue for musical artists, the focus being on local groups and individuals that are interested in performing in a benefit style concert. Programs generally range in length from an hour to an hour and a half, depending on the material performed by the artist.

The Candlelight series originated in 2001 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in the Port Townsend area Washington State to fund raise for repairs to the church building affected by a 6.8 magnitude earthquake. It has since grown and expanded; the concerts having been held in over 100 cities worldwide to include music of many genres.
