Virginia MacDonald / Todd Marcus Quintet

JAZZAMCO® is delighted to announce their sponsorship as part of the Prince Edward County Jazz Festival line up on Thursday, August 17th. Virginia is an award winning, powerful new voice on the Canadian and International jazz scene. She began playing clarinet at age seven. She tours with her own group as well as with the renowned Canadian Jazz Collective which also features her father, saxophone legend, Kirk MacDonald. Virginia has been featured at the Detroit and Rochester Jazz Festivals, the Jaipur Jazz and Blues Festival and the Montreal and Toronto Jazz Festivals.

Todd Marcus was voted Rising Young Star on clarinet in Downbeat Magazine's Annual Critics Poll in 2013. He has also toured nationally and internationally. He was a featured artist at the 1st World Bass Clarinet Convention, Rotterdam, Netherlands in 2005, Cairo Jazz Festival in 2015, and Jazz Tales Festival Egypt in 2017.
